Students’ mobility has 2 stages: at stage 1 (during the first year) it relates to planned study visits within the HIs or small training periods in a specific HI. At this stage, the aim is to gather an “in loco” overall idea of the programme and of the multidisciplinary dimensions of Environmental Health and related areas. Exchange visits with and among relevant international institutions are not only expected but mostly enhanced and encouraged whenever possible and justified.

After this stage, students´ mobility is student-tailored and planned with the supervisor and the PhD Thesis Committee, having into consideration that a significant part of the time for each student to develop its R&D Project must be spent in an industry/company setting in the country. This mobility must also take into account the needs of both career and PhD development, the student characteristics and objectives.
